Speaking Circle^® Facilitator Recertification Training

Supervision and private coaching program for retired Facilitators (from one to three years without a license) to update their skills for relicensing.

NOTE: Retired Facilitators who have been unlicensed for more than three years will need to take the current Certification Training (at a significant discount) rather than this Recertification Training, due to the ongoing evolution in the nature of Speaking Circles. Taking the current Certification Training (at a discount) is also a possible relicensing option for more recently retired Facilitators.

Prerequisite - Speaking Circle Facilitator Certification Training

This program includes continuing education materials and the latest Facilitator Manual from Speaking Circles International (SCI), plus video review and private coaching with one of the SCI Trainers.

The first stage of the retraining will be to review the provided materials. Then you will attend either a two- or three-day Speaking Circle workshop of your choice with SCI trainers either in California or The Netherlands. (Note that the price of this workshop is not included in the cost of the Recertification Training.)

The next step is to arrange and lead several practice Speaking Circles as a Facilitator-Trainee. When you feel ready, you can submit up to two videos (contact SCI for acceptable formats) of your work facilitating Circles, to be reviewed and discussed during private coaching sessions with one of the trainers. You will be provided with the latest Facilitator Training Manual, as well as a specific Facilitator checklist to review when evaluating your videos for submission.

Once you have passed the video review and receive your current Certification, you will be able to sign a new License Agreement with Speaking Circles International which authorizes you as a Speaking Circle Facilitator for one year. The annual license fee includes a continuing education program to keep Facilitators informed in the latest developments of the work.
